Thanks for that, if this is the case then, is the help incorrect, as it
states the screenpoint parameter for the NextClip method of the text
object is optional, shouldn't this be required?

If you don't specify the appropriate parameters, the Text object won't 
contain anything, because it wouldn't know where to get any information 
from. If you have a clip, you can get the screen point by doing:

ClipObj.Position.ScreenPoint
