In case this is relevant, the TogglePunctuation script allows one to
change punctuation, speech rate, or volume with single hotkeys.

it is easier but is time consuming when you just want to change to a different

Gotta agree with you there but I think just changing the speech rates manually
would be easier than a script.

Subject: window-eyes/script suggestion
one thing i would like to see in window-eyes or a script if it can be
inplemented is a way to keep your current speech settings while changing a
layout. for instance, if someone installs window-eyes on a laptop and then
changes the rate of eloquence to a faster rate and then changes to a laptop
layout, the rate goes back to normal and this even happens when you check the
use speech parameters checkbox and the change speech parameters to current
button before switching layouts. this can even be applied to the Homer layout
scripts that a user created. Like i said, it would be really good if current
speech settings such as rate can remain how you set them when changing keyboard
layouts. thanks all.
