Hi Jeff,
Was just reading the specs on making a playsound for you and that would be
very easy and would just have to add buttons for such things as pause; which
just triggers the pause for that sound channel. You can have many sounds play
at once and just have a list to select from to insure the proper pause. Or,
have all pause at once.
You can have fae out and fade in, including something to act when play
stops. Lots of options and will attempt to get on it tonight and sned you a
compiled copy. The only thing about Pythong compiled is that get up to 4 megs
or 6 megs of file size. Not a big issue, just that it saves the python stuff
along with the program so it can run without Python installed.
The module used is PyGame and it may sound like a game, but, it does that
name convention for the need to know you can play games using events. All
events are inside PyGame and can be used, including keyboards, mouse, and
clipboard stuff...
I had written many different Star Trek games using these events for sound
and keybaord events.
I will attempt to work on it tonight and have one ready to try tomorrow.

That would be great.
Right now, what I have is a script that will play .wav files which are in a
subfolder of the main script directory.
Thanks

Hi Jeff,
I could write a script and compile it for use using Python for you. This is
the only way to have something you can use unless someone already has something
to use.
As I discovered inside the default directory and I attempted to have the
compiled recording feature to my Cuckoo Clock, apparently some of the script
used the Tool Kit does not like and gives a warning from what I was told. So, I
placed that record inside a folder when the app was first run and eliminated
the warning issue.
So, I might write one and see if you can use it. This would allow at least
more than one format you can run. The .ogg and such.
Sincerely
Bruce

Subject: PlaySound
When using PlaySound in a script, is there a way to pause and resume playing a
sound?
I know I can use PlaySound with an empty string to stop the sound, but I would
like to pause the sound and then resume at the same place.
Thanks
