This should be fixed now.

Thanks,

Aaron

Hi Chip,

I tried doing that twice, not once, but twice. I was signed in both times and after
clicking on the "Are you sure" I waited until the screen came back and cursored
down and each time it had the same message.
Note, both times was signed in when doing this.

Yes as Vic had said, all you have to do is change the setting yourself to
global, but this morning had to run out the door to catch the bus and just got
home.

I also did not want another version yet, just when getting it off the
launching pad.

I had to take a break today and gave Dennis a standard version but when
you have not done a manual install that makes it that much harder. Taking Vic's
advice is what I should have done while on the computer but only thought of it
when running out the door.

The first change I will make is reduce the second column, the path/link so
it is not visible since I did that for debug purposes and you can use the Alt-E
key to load the URL into the edit field to examine or change or edit what ever
the reason.

As I had mentioned, those with Windows 7, Vista on up the call to the
WShell has to change but had not added that if condition in yet for I was just
testing on my XP machine. so when going to the local HTML and TXT files there
may be an issue of permissions.

Any way, will see what I can do today about getting the second column out of the way
and maybe do an alert. The text file will be examined each time for changes and noticed
some HTML tags cause new line issues and even in the HLNTv Breaking News web site there
is an added end tag shown, which were to be deleted but do them in pairs. I noticed the
actual original file actually has both there. Maybe the reason why some people get
messages like, "Errors on Page."

But there programmer seems to want to loop in a loop which is illegal in
the W3 standards for some tags.

So, enjoy the ability to get web pages free from pictures, spying and
monitoring activity. As I had said, some web pages only load data when the
person has triggered the OnLoad event and such, which means an empty page...

Many changes needed I am sure but this is the starting point of what might
be a nice app for everyone.

Note: all web pages visited are saved in the Breaking News folder in the
default folder, allowing you to even go to that folder and look at stuff
without using the program itself.

So, let me know what you would like to add for the full blown app will
have a list of your alert URL's and a sub menu or second dialog for the one you
are using now when wanting to expand what you want to do.

         Bruce

Bruce,

You may have to go to the web site for now to do this (be sure you are
logged in), then you'll see a choice called "my apps", which I think will
let you do this.

Aaron,

I tried deleting the Breaking News app and the message comes back every
time saying, "You can only delete your own apps" There is something wrong
with option to delete an app. I am signed in and look at my apps but can't
delete them.

Hi Dennis,

I will have to look at it, for I think I forgot to check global and that
prompt seems to not be there, at least I did not here it.

But I bet that it is not global and should have downloaded it and tested
it before writing, but it was late last night.

     My mistake.

Hi Everyone,

I think I will finally send a beta version out today on the Breaking
News.
the present form in which it is in is loading the selected web page
you want listed. It will list all llinks of the page in a list view.
First the app runs when pressing the Ctrl-Shift-Z key combo with a
blank List View. you tqab over to the edit field and a default web page will
be there from the .ini file. Edit it to a page you want then tab once again
to the button to load it. That button is identical to pressing the hotkey
Alt-L key when on a List View Item.
Now in this form you will have choices:
Alt-L Key: to load the link you are on as another list, or
Alt-G Key: go to the web page you are on, exitting the program, or
Alt-V Key:pop-up the text only of the page you wish to read, or
Alt-W Key: go to the page you are loading without any of the web page
scripts to speed up viewing of the page inside your browser.
The Alt-V or view the page hotkey is what will pop-up later once I
have the alert installed. I first had to get all tags properly sorted before
getting to the next stage, what was originally asked for.
It will be posted today, enjoy playing with it.
