Hi!

Breaking News 2.0 will be released soon which will have a Tree View control
panel with 5 properties.
You will be able to add alerts or delete them.
The properties are important in which the first one is the header or title
for the alert, the second one is the URL to go to and the third property is the
time interval you wish the alert to keep watching for news changes.
The fourth one is the text to search for and is a check box as well because
Fox News only highlights as a number one header, thus property five is the
header search for header 1 which is the largest default font size.
Property 5 searches for the header size if checked and unchecks the search
string.
In Headline News they do have a text which states Breaking News: thus it is
searched for. Now it is also highlighted as a header 1 font size.

I will have this out by Monday and at the moment getting all the edit
options for making an alert working properly when tabbing from the Tree View
into and out of the editbox.

So it is coming soon, Bruce

Hi!
Breaking News 1.71 has added back the quick view of news where it goes to
the place on the page, but some pages do not use the exact phrase listed at the
link so it is inside the find control and can be edited just in case it is not
found on the page by just hitting the Control F Find hotkey and editing it.

Also added protection against premature hitting of edit hotkeys before the
editbox dialog is loaded. to try and avoid causing object not found errors,
will fix it even better in the future.

It is version 1.71 and will now work on the alert section, just have not
made up my mind on using a tree instead of a listview for that.

Hi!

In a few minutes Breaking News 1.7 will be uploaded.
This version has all the edit keys when inside the editbox that view a web
page using the Alt-End hotkey or left mouse click.

Note:
Added is the ability to look at any web links that might get displayed. The
link must be enclosed with either the href="" tag or the src="" tag.
The hotkey for that is: alt-G
The link is always inside the quotes and those quotes must be there and usually
are on the web page displayed.
If you so desire to go to one then just use the Alt-G hotkey on the line those
tags are displayed.
If not displayed and just a link then
enter the link in the edit box or existing link but add the href= around it if
not there and add the quotes as well for the Alt-G hotkey looks for them.
Format:
src="website"
or
href="website"
Where website must have "http:// in it for the Windoweyes Url command to work.

I at the moment delete them but some get through and this allows you to see
them if there displayed inside the editbox.

All other edit box functions are there, Ctrl-F allows you to search for a
text.
F3 is a find next feature and
Shift F3 does a reverse search.

Also I do not search immediately for the text of the link you have clicked
on.
Now when the page loads using the Alt-End hotkey or the left mouse click,
You must now use the F3 key to find the link label, and
If the label is not found you can edit the text by using the Ctlr-F key to do
that editing just in case some but not all is displayed on the page.

    Will now upload version 1.7

        Bruce
