Hi!
In the next upgrade for Breaking News I will also place a reference for a
link in the edit box and to avoid cluttering the text it will just have a link
number in the text to fetch from a dictionary. This will allow you to read the
text and go to the URL or video to view the page or video.
I have it working by inserting the link reference and using the Alt G
hotkey, but having that link in the text can run up to 3 lines with line wrap
and also create a big viewing problem, too much information makes things hard
to read.
So, will just place a link number in the text so a hotkey will read that
code and take you to the web page.
All in making the Breaking news easier to use while just inside the read a
page editbox.
My goal is to make a browser type program for easy viewing and navigation,
the ability to look at anything and listen to a video from that page.
So, next update could be tomorrow, I thin it is time to get to bed, 1:15 in
the morning now.

Subject: Breaking News 2.2
Hi Again,
The version 2.2 of Breaking News is now uploaded.
This update adds a fourth default web site, New Scientist and a search for
today's news.
this version gives better focus to any existing dialogs when leaving
another, improved from the last posting.
Also, this version fixes display of the web page you read, the caption now
reflects the page instead of the search term. so the web page caption reflects
the page or link you are on.
So when checking the heading one and there is no heading one on the page to
highlight breaking news, it will then search for the search phrase you also
insert into the control panel property for that web site.
You have to look at the page and decide on what phrase to search for, because
that is web page dependent and I have placed the common ones for the default
web pages listed.
So have fun and will have to post here if there any things that need fixing
for my email address in not on the error reporting of the app.

Hi!
I uploaded version 2.11 because version 2.1
Of course, once uploaded, has an error.
I uploaded version 2.11 because the Space Bar hotkey for checking the check box
was not getting reset when leaving an edit box entry. It now gets reset.
Also added the Maximizing of a dialog instead of normal for that seems to make
the dialog focus a little easier when leaving another dialog.
I had not made changes in the hotkey help files but they will be in the
next upgrade. Those changes reflect the Load web page hotkey changes and such.

Hi Kevin,
I will upload it now. Each time I test it, something else pops up and hope
this time it will be OK.
There are some web links that do not work because they either use a gallery
or some kind of array/table. Those will also be fixed in the future, my next
project since the list and tree views are what I wanted for easy use.
At least news wanted from a link is posted and have not yet done the
alternative if one search term is not found, do the other.
When I upload this one it will have 3 defaults, Fox News, Headline News,
and CNN News; the parent of Headline News.
Also the settings of the list view and Tree view are saved and used the
next time you run the app. But those settings must be saved using the File Menu
S key. That option is in both dialogs and save there respective settings, it
does not save both dialog settings when used.
List sort is saved and all treeview settings... in there own respective
dialog File menu S key.
