I'm getting in on this one late, but I love my Garmin 305, integrating
cadence, heartrate and a bunch of specs into one computer. I love the
fact that you can customize what specs are displayed, and how many on
the two customizable pages of screens. I also like the interval and
racing against a "ghost" (a previously recorded run of yours against
your present run). I'd highly recommend it and I use it on every ride
- commutes, group rides, solo rides and even races. It gives a ton of
stats when you sync back up to the computer.

The only problem I've had is on occasion, it won't power up and is
completely unresponsive. After a call to support, I got a fix to get
it to reset, but so far, there hasn't been a firmware update to fix
it. I've had the unit going on 3 years, and I've only had that happen
3-4 times total.
