G's,

Weather is iffy again on Saturday so I will post a ride weather update by 7am
Saturday morning.

It is a sad time now that available light has caused most of our night rides to
be canceled for the season. A BIG load of thanks goes to Hal, Andy, Dave and
anyone who helped out, in their absence, to lead these great rides this last
season. I think everyone will agree that there was a tremendous jump in their
skill level due to the rides these guys put together. Thanks again!

Please note below that there are many new time changes and a new start location
for the Tuesday night ride, which we will try to continue for as long as the
weather holds out.

New time changes include:

Saturday A Ride is now 8:30am
Kim's Sunday Recovery Ride is now 9am
Rick's Tuesday Ride is now 6pm

New start locations include:

Rick's Tuesday Ride is at Tony's House and here is the address which is only 1
mile from St. Francis Church:

(From St. Francis of Assisi Church - continue straight on Leesville Road
through the light at the intersection of Leesville & Hickory Grove Church
Roads. You'll enter Harrington Grove Subdivision. Take 1st RT on North Radner
Way. Take 3rd RT on Calverton Drive (The Downs Subdivision). Continue ST
through the intersection of Calverton & Amoretto Drive. My house is the 4th
house on the left. House #5220 Calverton Drive.)

THE PLAN:
One or more groups will leave with the intent of riding as a group at a target
pace. We will try to cover the same routes, albeit a shorter distance for the
slower group, so if you're struggling or want to ride at an easier pace, you
can move back to a slower group. If you're already in the slowest group, the
ride leader will check to make sure you can make your way back alone or with
another volunteer. You'll know within the first 7 miles whether or not you're
strong enough to maintain the pace. The general rule is that you should be able
to maintain at least a 19+mph pace for the A Group, 18mph pace for 40-50 miles
with the B+ Group or a 16mph pace for 30-40 miles with the B Group, when
considering which group to ride with. If you can not maintain these paces, then
it is suggested that you consider the C/B- Sunday ride. (Please refer to the
link above).

Each group should make a concerted effort to keep the group together but there
will always be those who want to pick up the pace on the return. It is more
appropriate to do this the last 5-7 miles of a ride. The short hammer sessions,
that are always inevitable during our rides, will not be affected.
