Hi Shane, I was on the Thursday night ride and I'm really sorry you were dropped. I know what it's like to be here a few months and be dropped and not know your way around to get back to where you started. Dave did state that we do stop for mechanicals and it was just bad luck as we have stopped before for riders having problems.
I had the same type of experience with Gary when I was new and he is an amazing ambassador for cycling. Yes, there are other great mechanics out there but THEY DON'T RIDE WITH US! Gary has been with our B ride more than once when we needed him and he's just a great person. Please disregard SILLY inferences that you are somehow employed or were paid to state the obvious about Gary or that "you know what happens". We are a cycling community and we need to take care of one another otherwise why ride with a group at all? Please come out again. Hey, I'm a woman and I even getted dropped occassionally on the no-drop Recovery Ride but not much these days; I know my way around now so it's not as big a deal as it use to be. We'll look for you Thursdays. Again, we're sorry!!!
