Gyros, I am thinking of two days. Saturday and Sunday. It is 3 hours to Galax. Six hours in the car to ride 57 miles in one day seems like too much to me for one day.
Here is a thought: Ride up on Saturday morning Start at the mid-point and ride to Galax and back to the mid-point on Saturday. Then on Sunday, start at the mid-point and ride to Pulaski and back to the mid-point. Come home Sunday afternoon satisfied that you just rode 117 miles in two days through beautiful terrain and now life seems a little better for it.
