I bought myself a 50th birthday present of 2.7 m of the green Italian repro cut silk velvet from Sartor. It's going to be a jerkin for incredibly spiffy Venetian drag for me. I haven't decided on the rest of the outfit yet. I have to pull fabric out and see what looks good with the green that I have enough to do a doublet and Venetians out of.
I have no shortage of projects to do -- some pre-Conquest Norse things, some 13th c. things, a growing pile of Tudorbethan shirts, several knitted shawls, and some mending. Plus I really desperately need to finish cleaning/organizing my sewing space so I can actually use it again -- right now I can't even get to the FLOOR let alone anything else. I WFH normally, so I'm still working my regular schedule, plus homework, so not much free time at all, sadly.
