I haven't left the house (and yard) since Sacramento County shut down, which was after the SF Bay Area shutdown but before the entire state shutdown.  I could actually walk around the neighborhood more.  This is a suburb (of Sacramento), it's not dense, and my husband says he sees few people on his morning runs. My husband does the grocery store pickups.  We order online, get a pickup time, drive to the pickup area, and they put the bags in the trunk of the car.

I buy DVDs (rather than streaming) and have spent more time than usual watching them. Lately, the Frankie Drake mysteries, set in the 1920s. They're not even trying with the costumes, or the hairstyles. I just watched an episode where Coco Chanel gives a runway show.  It's a parade of *identical* dresses!  The same style, fabric, color, everything. Someone is not clear on the concept . . .

We have all the DVDs of Game of Thrones and I am trying to get my husband to start watching them with me.  He wants to see the series, but then he starts calculating how long it will take if we watch one or two episodes a week, which is all he is willing to do. He gave me a book on the costumes for Christmas. He looked through it and he loves them, so we'll get around to the DVDs eventually.

For fitting your clothes, I'd suggest buying an adjustable dress form online. I got one of the hard adjustable forms (quite a while back) and put an old leotard over it to pin to.

Re stash, I am wondering how easy it will be to buy fabric over the next few months, considering how much of it is made in China or India.  In any case I really should be using up what I have.

It's been great to hear how others are coping with isolation and of the
projects they're working on. I hope you all stay safe and as happy and busy

I'm working from home so I don't have all of the day for myself. Still,
I've managed to make about 18 face masks, until I ran out of bias binding,
elastic and cotton fabrics from my stash. The San Francisco Bay Area
(California) has been shut down since March 9th, so we've got a head start
on sewing over much of the rest of the country. Being over 60 with some
medical issues, I've only left the house four times since then so I've had
lots of time in the house. We just got Acorn so I've been watching Brit
television while doing handwork. Murder mysteries really help to keep me
focused on anything other than the pandemic.

I'm working on a shaub for my husband, one I promised him about four years
ago. Most of the shaub is made and I've put together the fur collar, which
will be basted to the shaub whenever he wears it and taken off for cleaning
and storage. Next tasks are to finish the facings and cartridge pleat the
sleeves to the body.

I've made a 1890s petticoat with lots of pleated ruffles, the muslin for
the linen skirt I have planned. I've made a muslin for the Folkwear
Armistice Blouse but need someone to help with fitting. No matter how hard
I try, I can't seem to self-fit. Next up is a 1920s skirt to go with the
Armistice blouse. I'll make a muslin and use it as the petticoat if it
works. I have dreams of sewing a bunch of other projects but I'll have to
see how far I get down the list.
