Quoting michaela <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>:
If you have the time and patience, there are a number of paintings on
this site that I've not seen before:
One example (besides the one Bjarne shared) :
http://www.kleio.org/frauen/abb17a.htm
And if this is truely a self portrait of Leonardo....whoo hoo!
http://www.kleio.org/leonardo/leonardo.htm
Yep. This is the new site of someone I link to frequently in my Frazzled
Frau site:

http://www.asn-ibk.ac.at/bildung/faecher/geschichte/maike/bilderkatalog/habsburger/abb10s.htm
Do you know if there's a color copy of this painting around anywhere? I
have the idea that the girl's dresses are red ....
The new site is easier to remember for sure;)
There's a color copy of this one at
http://englishhistory.net/tudor/relative/brandon.html
and isn't that beadwork on her sleeves *gorgeous*
Oh yes:) I've had a copy in my book on Henry VIII for years. It's on my to
do list;) There is a portrait of the middle-late 16thC in Koeln that has
undersleeves just like it. Except the whole ensemble is in dusty pinky grey
shades.
ooooh, Do you have a link (or search string) to that picture? I'd
*love* to see it!
