The fabric I purchased is close to both color descriptions. I call it deep
vibrant coral with a salmon hue lerking under neath the surface. Either way,
it's close enough for us!
Now to making it.......

I can't see a difference in the paintings, myself, but it does appear they
were all scanned from different sources, probably photos or book pictures
with slightly different inks. I've never heard of there being multiple
copies of this portrait, from any source.
I've always thought of the gown as salmon colored.
