I don't know how to clean it, but when it comes to the second part of your
question I might be able to help. You cut the fur from the skin side witha
very sharp scalpel. Make sure only to cut the skin, not the fur.

I'm one of those people who love to read this list but rarely post. Thank
you all for all the interesting ideas and knowlege.
So to my question... How do you clean white fur? I have purchased and old
white mink fur coat and I'd like to clean it before I cut it up :) I'd
really rather not spend much more money on this project. Any ideas?
Also how do I cut it? I am going to use it to trim a 15th century V necked
gown.
