It is that much worse with movies.
Rant rant... sorry, but people comment and complain who have not been in a position to do a theatrical/movie production. We all know that working on re-enactment clothing, or even SCA garb -- one at a time-- is a whole other thing than doing 7000 costumes at once! :-) Thisng always get a little iffy in movies-- because the director has a vision--- and he also has to make something "sell" to the audience...
It seems to me that it's the difference between making clothes for yourself--when you can do whatever you want--and working for other people--where you have to do what they want.
