Hello Robin, I wasn't sure about sending this, but why not. This is for grade school costume projects at little to no cost. Paper bags are GREAT! The stiff paper can be used to make head coverings (caps and crowns) and if balled-up and flattened several times, it creates "cloth" or "leather" for clothing and shoe coverings. Add glue, foil, string, markers, crayons, glitter (can resemble metal), and whatever from the craft drawer. There, you have costumes! No sewing necessary unless you wanted to "sew" using yarn which could look really nice. Very good costume project that the students can do themselves. Accessories can be easily made from cardboard; swords, shields, horses, and the such. Please be understanding of grade school projects and allow some leniency regarding accuracy. Asking the parents for more money, even $5, is a lot to ask. Donated supplies are more reasonable to ask for and easier to get. Grocery stores are known to donate bags. There are good resources at te! acher-based websites. Hope this helps.
Good luck, Sonja _______________________________________________ h-costume mailing list [email protected] http://mail.indra.com/mailman/listinfo/h-costume
