Yikes, I caught bits and pieces of Casanova while I was taping. It's atrocious! Casanova was wearing a red shirt that buttoned down the front (not in 1740!), as well as a black neckcloth. I've seen black stocks, but not black jabots. Ladies had aqua lace engagentes (sleeve lace). I've seen many an 18th century gown and I've never seen colored lace on sleeves like that. And don't get me started on the women's hair! Awful. I was wondering about the ladies clothes, it was supposed to be 1740 ,Venice Italy and all the gowns look like French court dresses.....is any of the dress or hairstyles correct?...anyone?
