Hi Sharon, I agree. For costuming purposes, mine sat just fine on my head without any fasteners, until a really strong gust lifted it up. But it went back on with minimal adjusting. I loved how it works, but I will be adding in a chin strap soon since I won't have the new one made before my next event. Kimiko
