As for the outfit, it seems to lean towards Mongolian closer to a Barga or Buryat(sp?) woman's winter outfit or a Bayad woman's outfit. But I have not seen any men's with the opening up the center but I am not an expert and so have not seen all garments pertaining to Mongolia. There may be some influence from Dynasty Warriors. http://www.yueying.net/dw/ -----Original Message----- http://i12.tinypic.com/2qn5jzt.jpg Another view of the same costume. It looks like something the Mongol soldiers would wear. The hat however looks to be from some other period ... Hollywood borrows from everywhere creatively at least. :) Chiara ----- Original Message ----- > From the next Pirates movie: > > This is being described in the promo literature as "asian inspired". > Anyone got a better idea what this embroidered coat is based on?
