I did the same here and then experimented with no tabs, all the tabs in the same pattern, and finally tabs made from "cabbage" - random pieces of fabric. Part of me wants to leave it without tabs, because it looks fussy to me. But many of the bodices had these whacky shaped tabs, and the original obviously did too......sigh....decisions, decisions.
