A local interior design store is moving, and is selling off all of their outdated swatches, cheap. I picked up a bunch of nice pieces to play with, and I was wondering if anybody had any tricks for removing the glued-on lables? Some are so old that the glue has turned to powder and the lables just come off. Some I was able to peel off, leaving a minimum of sticky residue behind. Some are nice, new lables that aren't interested in leaving; like the one on the spectrum of silk drapery swatches that I was hoping to use to make a nifty quilt. I have one soaking in water, now.
Does anyone have any suggestions for removing stickers from fabric? (Warm iron to soften glue? Freeze it to harden the glue?) I do have enough that I can sacrifce a few for the sake of experimentation. Emma, now the proud owner of one small, faded piece of Scalamandre silk brocade! _______________________________________________ h-costume mailing list [email protected] http://mail.indra.com/mailman/listinfo/h-costume
