Did you use powder or liquid? Powder sometimes leaves white marks if it
doesn't dissolve in the water. Did you add the soap to the water first,
or dump it in on top of the fabric? Some detergents have bleach in them
and they aren't clearly labelled, and if you pour them on the fabric
directly they can discolor your fabric.
I think ALL was one I stopped using a while back because it had an
ingredient that was fading my dark shirts noticeably quickly. Some kind
of enzyme cleaner. I don't know if it's still the same formula.
And it's always possible the rayon wasn't colorfast to begin with. Is
there any way to get an unwashed sample, and rub it with a wet cotton
ball to see?
