Hi,

I second the suggestion for the National Museum. If
you're interested in replica medieval and viking age
jewellery, there are Museum Kopi Smykker
(http://www.museum-jewelry.dk/default.asp) in
Grønnegade, a stone's throw from Strøget/Kongens
Nytorv, and Raudi, in Laederstrade 31, parallel to
Strøget.

If you have time, I'd also recommend taking the train
to Sweden, to the Kulturen museum in Lund
(http://www.kulturen.com) which has a great medieval
exhibition. Medieval eccleastical textiles* are found
in the Lunds Universitets Historiska Museum
(http://www.luhm.lu.se/). The cathedral is also nice.

You can e-mail me privately if you want non-textile
tips for the region.
