I, too, have a great family photo. It seems to be from around 1910. My great grandmother and her children-- my grandfather (a really handsome man) and his sisters. The ladies are wearing dresses of their own creation (GORGEOUS!) Theae are the great aunts who inspired my interest in sewing. They put themselves through nursing school by hand stitching gloves in Gloversville, NY. This was pre WWI. They later ended up in WWI France nursing the wounded.
If you would like to see it, someone will have to tell me how to post it once it is scanned in to my computer... In it, my g-gma is holding a photograph of her two young children. I don't know why these seven or eight ladies decided to have their picture taken together in their good dresses or why she's holding the photo. I don't believe that any of the other ladies are related to my family, and both children were alive at that time.
