Interestingly, the costume designer of "JC Superstar" is Yvonne Blake, I believe. She designed one of the BEST costume extravaganzas of the 70's: "Three Musketeers" [and of course "Four Musketeers" too.... since they were conceived as one film during filming]. Y'know, the one with Michael York, and Raquel Welch and...everybody else in Hollywood. Still the best telling of the story and the best costumes for it to date. [Raquel refused to wear a corset with a busk, so her gowns were designed by someone else, but even though her construction and silhouette are not great, the designs themselves are not terrible.] Geraldine Chaplin wears one of those daisy petal collars in one scene and it doesn't look foolish at all. How did they do THAT? The Ball scene is all white and silver, and the scene at the end of the 1st film, where d'Artagnan becomes a musketeer is all in black and gold. Just fantastically beautiful.
