My wedding dress was similar (cotton from Laura Ashley) and I didn't wear a corset. It had some light boning built in. I suppose it depends how much you've got to support. I was pretty thin then and didn't have much bust, so it wasn't much of an issue. But if you have a larger bust and/or want the tiny waist, I'd go with a corset. Especially if you plan on spending a lot of time on your feet during the wedding and reception. A corset will act as a great back support.

I say based on because the top will have to be altered to fit, and I'm not so sure about the sleeves. My question is, should I make a corset, or add boning and cups to the top? I do not care about being period or not, just like the dress. Does anyone on the list have experience with such a thing? Thank you.
