Has anyone seen it, and how does it come across to fans of the original
books and the various movies set in the Victorian and Edwardian eras?
I've only seen a newspaper review.
I've always thought that if Holmes were alive today, he'd be a computer
geek, probably developing viruses and cracking passwords just to see if
he could, but never releasing the viruses or using the hacked material
for anything evil. I think it was a neat touch that in the original
version, Watson was a veteran of an Afghanistan campaign--and in the
updated version, he still is.
On the other hand, I'm not sure I would like seeing a modernized version
. . .
