ok. I obviously read your message in a way inconsistent with your intent. I sounded to me like you asking for a special version that had the updates and bug fixes but still used an older file format.
I would ask....if you are going to go to the trouble to update the software anyway, what is the big deal with your upgrade script migrating the data to the new format? Sure, you can't go back once it is done, but if you are on the latest stable build, you can get support for problems.
