Hey, I'm Pepijn de Vos, a Wordpress user like some more Habari users where, I believe. I think Habari is a very good system, although I'm missing quite some features Wordpress did out of the box.
For example there is no visual editor, no tag cloud, no revisions, no widgets(important one if you ask me), etc... This has some beauty in it, for Habari is by default very clean and simple, but anyway, I want to make a proposal: I personally think that more features currently only offered by plugins should be integrated in the core, as bundled plugins or core features. This makes it a lot easier for new users to get started! Currently I have to search on Google and browse the http://trac.habariproject.org/habari-extras/browser/plugins to find something usable. I hate to sound like I want Habari to be like Wordpress, but another option would be to make a good plugin website like Wordpress has. I could imagine some cronjob to go through the Habari extras repo and extract the name and description(and maybe a long description and installation instructions?) from the plugins and themes and make them searchable and viewable on a nice website. Or how about a plugin that can install plugins? If there is space to do so I would like to help to develop this extra viewer. Again, I think Habari is a great product, but I also think you should make it as easy as possible for people to use it, and give it a clear advantage over other software.
