Hi all, I'm relatively new to habari but I wanted to let the group know that I'll be doing some user testing on it as a part of a usability assignment for my university degree. I intend to test two groups of users (with four people in each); the first group will have had previous experience with a CMS or blogging site and the second group will have had no previous experience. I'm only testing the web interface so I will be doing all of the installation myself. Tests will run for 40-60 minutes.
I will begin testing in the next 8 - 15 days and before then I'll be deciding on the tasks to be tested, broadly I was thinking: - create an entry - create a page - add an image/media - activate a plugin/theme - change personal settings I'm happy to take suggestions if there is something in particular that you would like me to test? Also, I haven't decided yet whether I should use 0.6.4 or the trunk (although strongly I'm leaning towards the trunk because it will give you the most up-to-date feedback). The major difference seems to be the areas/blocks in the themes... is this ready to be tested with users? Are there other differences between UI's? On a different topic, I thought I'd make the suggestion that when it comes to choosing themes for the base version of Habari they each be designed to fit a different type of users needs. In other words, the aim would be to identify some key types of users and have it so that these types could activate a theme and get started on Habari without having to look under the hood. As an example, there was some earlier discussion about Habari being used as a CMS for web developers. Well it would be good to have a core theme which could be easily adapted to this kind of site (ie. where the blog is not positioned on the front page). warm regards leanne -- ________________________________________________ [email protected] mobile: 0409 538 656 -- To post to this group, send email to [email protected] To unsubscribe from this group, send email to [email protected] For more options, visit this group at http://groups.google.com/group/habari-users
