I only used the HackRF at 2 Mhz to make the comparison as similar as
possible. Normally, I wouldn't even consider doing so.

Here's why I would recommend against using HackRF with a 2MHz sampling rate:

If you operate the HackRF at 8MHz with a GNU Radio 4:1 decimating low-pass
filter to reach your desired 2MHz sampling rate, you should see better
performance in the presence of noise in adjacent spectrum that would otherwise
alias. I have no idea if the various other SDR software uses this technique.
