I don't really have much faith in planning things. That said, here is my plan. I'll slap it all together onto some slides and post those. As for practical examples I'll be on the lookout for those and try to incorporate them. > my hunch tells me that it'll take at least 2 lectures to cover this topic > on a basic level. are you up to this 3-lecture series? ;) You have the experience in this field. I guess I'll just have to give the lecture and see what happens. There is no way that I can cover the preliminary topics in one lecture if I get asked about them and actually have to answer in any meaningfull way. For example: Person: "So, whats exactly *is* gamma and color temperature". Me: "There goes the lecture.". Seriously though... I'd like to build on the past GIMP lecture and not explain color theory, gamma etc. No one says I'll even be able to answer color theory questions. I'd like to show a few techniques that can boost the quality of your photographs. I'd like to show how to do it, explain what you "have" to do and leave people to google "color theory" later. My question is this: This lecture would be much cooler if I had a running GIMP to play with loaded with my photographs. It would be much nicer than looking at "before" and "after" slides. Can you people pull that off? I'm not a technion student and know nothing of what goes on behind those podiums. > -- > guy > > "For world domination - press 1, > or dial 0, and please hold, for the creator." -- nob o. dy > > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Haifa Linux Club Mailing List (http://www.haifux.org) > To unsub send an empty message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] > > > -- "Cut your own wood and it will warm you twice" Regards, Yoni Rabkin Katzenell -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Haifa Linux Club Mailing List (http://www.haifux.org) To unsub send an empty message to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
