I think it was a great Linux day. Not that I was there to see for myself. It was great because it happened.

Why didn't I show up? Because I don't agree with the concept enough to spare the time. I won't waste yours with telling you how I think Linux should be promoted, because I have no intention to organize any event. I suggest that all the rest of you, who also lack the intention of spending a substantial amount of time to get something moving, would share my silence.

In the world of FOSS, you don't complain about a missing feature in some software. You implement it. Or possibly send a friendly note to someone who may do that for you. I can't understand why anyone here feels free to complain about anything, even if Adir chose Red Hat 5.2.

I know that we all hate to see the glorious name of Linux being disgraced by *someone else* making a bad impression, making us all looking like idiots, but I can hope that if you stick around for a while, you'll get used to that. We're a bunch of individualists (or we would never leave Windows), so there's no chance that we'll like what the other guy just did.

So if someone was surprised during some certain event, don't complain. You have just learned an important lesson, which goes way beyond Suzuntu vs. OpenUbe.
