I've used several Kyocera FS series printers from Linux. I currently use a Samsung CL350 Colour Laser and an Epson 2100 Inkjet.
As an aside, the Linux Cups driver for the 2100 has more features that the one shipped with OS/X which is ironic as Apple is the Cups maintainer. I can print panoramas 5ft long on 8in wide paper from Linux whereas both Windows & OSX fail miserable. I'd avoid Lexmark printers though. The (AFAIK) specifically do not support any operation from Linux even if it is over a LAN.
