But comparing the architecture, and provided that Linux is based on an Unix fundation having proved it's robustness since more than 30 years, it's not hard to guess which one is more secure... And, don't forget you can only guess since we don't have access to the Windows source code! IMHO, security is assured when the source is published. See: Linux sources and all FOSS sources are public and still there is not that much attack against it because anybody can check and correct the code at anytime.
