Let's simply do it like this, with the continuation line below the beginning
of the text after the number :

   2. qcur: current queued requests. For the backend this reports the number
      queued without a server assigned. [BACKEND, SERVER]

In general what matters is that it's easily readable on screen. Cyril's dconv
utility already does an excellent job at converting something looking fine to
similarly-looking HTML output.
