maybe the patch command from FreeBSD is different, I do not get your patch applying correctly. I always start from a clean build dir version 1.7.3. But Dmitry already created an updated version of the port with the patch included: https://svnweb.freebsd.org/ports/head/net/haproxy/files/patch-src-proto_tcp.c?view=markup&pathrev=435979 This patch applies correctly and I have now a test env running with the patched version. My monitoring system is already testing it and it looks promising, no timeouts so far. I also did some other tests that caused timeout before and everything looks fine. I will monitor it closely the next day and will report immediately if I get a timeout, but I think it is fixed now. Thanks you all for your support!
