The Hardball Briefing On MSNBC
------------------------------------------------------
We're in final sprint mode here at the MSNBC mother ship in Secaucus today...Booking
calls are burning up the phone lines, trucks are being ordered, studios are being
booked...No expense is being spared, least of all our sanity...Yeah, we're late today
but that's because I keep getting kicked off the computer and things are crazy today...
It's all in the name of hot cable tv which is what we live for at Hardball...Tonight
is going to be a two hour extravaganza and it goes without saying that you'll need to
break out the popcorn and late night munchies...We'll have the latest and greatest,
the hottest and most compelling night of politics on TV...In other words, it's going
to be a heck of a lot of fun...
Here's the rundown...We'll do the Election night panel for the first hour: Fineman,
Caddell, Noonan & Brazile...Looks like Bill Clinton will be speaking in New York at a
Carl McCall rally which we'll dip into for some hot sots (sound on tape)...We've got
the new Senator from Minnesota Dean Barkley on stand by for a 9-9:30...He's the one
Jesse just appointed this morning...
We'll also do some electeds like Rangel, fmr. FL Rep. Joe Scarborough, Chaka Fattah,
Bob Barr & Tom Davis...In the final half hour we'll do a "super size" Buzz with B-1
Bob Dornan & Katrina...
Plus, we'll do hits with Lester and Norah on the latest polling info and voter
trends...Plus, a special guest appearance by Hardball's favorite pollster, Frank
Luntz...
Lots of other variables still up in the air so fasten your seatbelts and pls do kick
it with us tonight...
Caddell Alert...Just had lunch with Pat in MSNBC's world famous "dot-commissary" and
he's really pumped for tonight...He's ready to explode...He even thinks we ought to
have popcorn on the set tomorrow but I'm thinking that might bring down the gravitas
level...
