            The Hardball Briefing On MSNBC
------------------------------------------------------

As the Mideast crisis continued today, British Prime Minister Tony Blair came
to Washington and held a joint presser with President Bush. NBC's Chief White
House Correspondent David Gregory will have all the details. We'll also hear
NBC's Richard Engel from Tyre and Peter Alexander in Haifa.

Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said that she will be returning to the
Middle East. What role will diplomacy play in the coming days? We'll ask
Carlos Pascual, a former Bush State Department official and former Asst.
Defense Secretary Frank Gaffney.

How will the Middle East conflict play in '06? Will it damage the Bush
administration? And what exactly was President Bush doing today with "American
Idol" winners? Washington Post columnist Eugene Robinson and John Fund of
OpinionJournal.com will have answers.

With more politics our Hardballers tonight will be former RNC Chairman James
Gilmore and Democratic strategist Steve McMahon.

On Monday Hardball celebrates the 10th anniversary of MSNBC.com, and we'll be
live at 5 and 7pm from Rockefeller Center in New York City!
