As violence rages on in Iraq, the LA Times reports elected officials there
acknowledge few accomplishments:

Leaders of both parties on Capitol Hill announced plans for more policy
meetings. President Bush is scheduled to meet with Iraqi Prime Minister
Maliki next week in Jordon (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/15841522/) and House
Democrats will hold an Iraq policy forum on December 5th. We'll begin with a
full report from Hardball Correspondent David Shuster, followed by Major
General John Batiste (Ret.), who commanded the 1st Infantry in Iraq. He'll be
at the Democrat's Iraq forum.

Then, after spending the last couple of years mastering new ways to
communicate, some politicians are now taking the lead on campaigning in the
digital age. Today instead of listening to fireside chats in the living room,
voters are hearing from politicians while they're blogging and jogging.
Hardball's Jeremy Bronson has the report.

Earlier this month, Rep. Harold Ford (D-TN) lost a hotly contested Senate race
to Republican Bob Corker. He'll be here tonight to talk about what's next on
the agenda, the new Dem leadership, Iraq and 2008.

And we're getting ready for the big day tomorrow with Newsweek's Jonathan
Alter, Karen Tumulty from Time and Business Week's Eamon Javers. They'll join
Chris at the table for a political smorgasbord to talk about the new 110th
congress, the 2008 contenders, Iraq and more. Read about former NYC Mayor Rudy
Giuliani's 2008 possibilities in the NY Observer:
