            The Hardball Briefing On MSNBC
------------------------------------------------------
We've got a great show tonight, but first, a quick note about tomorrow's
must-see HB.

Ben Affleck plays Hardball! Ben tells Chris what he thinks about the race for
'08, Hollywood support, the youth vote and all the big issues. It's a Hardball
Special you don't want to miss!

Now, on to the show...

Will Scooter Libby see a presidential pardon.or the inside of a prison cell?
Plus, Bush-bashing at Tuesday night's Republican debate - is the GOP in
trouble? And, selling the '08 contenders - who's winning the marketing war?
That's all tonight on Hardball.

Up first, former Rep. Tom "the Hammer" DeLay (R-TX) weighs in on the Libby and
the current state of the GOP. Can Republicans hold on to White House in '08?
We'll ask DeLay which contender he thinks can save it all for the party.

With Judge Reggie Walton showing no signs of leniency in allowing Libby to
spend his appeal period as a free man, Bush's time to decide whether or not to
spare the vice president's former right hand man may be running out. In
tonight's Hardball Debate, radio talk show host G. Gordon Liddy and Air America
president Mark Green go head-to-head on the Libby pardon.

And tonight's Hardballers - former Bush adviser Nick Calio, Newsweek's Howard
Fineman, and Democratic consultant Jenny Backus - will hash out all the news
from last night's debate, including Rudy vs. abortion vs. the lightning,
Huckabee on evolution, and more.

Plus, selling the '08 contenders - we'll ask CNBC's Donny Deutsch, host of "The
Big Idea," who's got the hottest brand.
