            The Hardball Briefing On MSNBC
------------------------------------------------------
Rudy announces his 12 Commitments to the American people (taking a cue from
last week's lightning strike at the GOP debate?), Hillary leads the ladies, and
Mr. Bush goes to Capitol Hill - that's all tonight on Hardball.

In Washington today, the president made a rare appearance in the Capitol to
shore up GOP support for his derailed immigration bill. Sen. Kay Bailey
Hutchison (R-TX) chaired the policy luncheon Bush attended this afternoon,
we'll ask her if the president's trek will make the difference. We'll also
hear from White House Press Secretary Tony Snow.

Then, more on the president's trip to the Hill and the latest '08 news with
Todd Harris, former McCain spokesman, and MSNBC political analyst Ron Reagan.
According to the latest Washington Post/ABC News polls, Clinton leads her
Democratic contenders among female voters. Can Obama and Edwards win over the
women? And still undeclared Fred Thompson tests the waters tonight on NBC's
Tonight Show. We'll have more later in the show with the Hardball Panel:
Newsweek's Howard Fineman, Jill Zuckman from the Chicago Tribune, and Terry
Jeffrey, editor of HumanEvents.com.

Plus, don't miss tonight's Hardball Debate: with two new books that promise to
reveal new dirt on Hillary Clinton, what's fair game? Her marriage or her
record? Don Van Natta, author of "Her Way: The Hopes and Ambitions of Hillary
Rodham Clinton" and radio talk show host Ed Schultz debate.

Catch Tim Russert, host of NBC's "Meet the Press," tomorrow on the Today show,
talking about his book, "Wisdom of Our Fathers," now out in paperback. And
tonight, stay up late or set the Tivo - Hardball political analyst Bob Shrum
will be on the Daily Show with Jon Stewart.
