The Hardball Briefing On MSNBC
------------------------------------------------------
You saw him last week in a fiery debate with journalist Christopher Hitchens on
Hardball Plaza. Tonight, Rev. Al Sharpton will be asking the questions to our
heavy hitters when he sits in as special guest host on Hardball.
Coming up tonight - Campaign cash: it's that time again. We'll look at who's
got it and who's feeling some pinch in the pocketbook. The big news this time
around is Sen. Barack Obama's (D-IL) bashing of Sen. Hillary Clinton's (D-NY)
bucks. Obama's reporting a cool $31 million in primary money raised to
Clinton's $21. Will Obama use his monetary momentum to overtake Clinton in the
polls? Clinton campaign chairman Terry McAuliffe will be on hand to tell us
what they've got on tap to stay in front. We'll also talk to DNC chairman and
former presidential candidate Howard Dean about what he makes of the all the
dollars.
Plus, two '08 contenders are ready to play Hardball with Rev. Al - Rep. Duncan
Hunter (R-CA) and Sen. Chris Dodd (D-CT) will both be in the Hardball hot seat.
And Mr. and Mrs. Clinton go to Iowa. We'll have the latest on their family
fundraising with tonight's Hardball Panel: David Yepsen from the Des Moines
Register and Human Events' Terry Jeffery.
And don't miss the Hardball Debate: In the wake of last week's decision
limiting the use of race in school admissions, has the Supreme Court gone too
far to the right? Bob Tyrrell, founder of The American Spectator, and
Democratic consultant Jenny Backus will duke it out.
