The Hardball Briefing On MSNBC
------------------------------------------------------
First up: as each hour passes, is Hillary Clinton more or less likely to be the
next Secretary of State?
Does Hillary Clinton want the job or not? Is a decision by Obama to bring in
the Clintons a good move? What about his message of change? We'll ask MSNBC's
Michelle Bernard and Salon.com's Joan Walsh.

Next - Today the heads of the "Big Three" automakers continue their push for
$25 billion bailout package. What exactly will this money do? At what point
does Congress say "enough?" Tonight Rep. Steve Israel (D-NY) and Rep. Zach Wamp
(R-TN) will debate just that!
Plus, with the defeat of Sen. Ted Stevens (R-AK), the Democrats now have 58
senators in their caucus with two races yet to be decided. In January,
Democrats will control the White House and have huge majorities in Congress.
Where does the party go from here? Should Obama go for big changes? How much
can the Democrats do? Democratic Strategist Mike Feldman and GOP Strategist
John Feehery will tell you what they think.
Also tonight, Al Qaeda's Ayman al-Zawahiri has come out with a new video
message for the President-elect. We'll look at the tape and what it means in
the Politics Fix with Chicago Tribune columnist Clarence Page and Ed Gordon,
host of "Our World with Black Enterprise."

And in case you missed it, guess who was on "The Tonight Show" with Jay Leno
last night? We'll show you in the Hardball Sideshow!
