I am running Debian, and I am very happy with it and loath to change, being comfortable with it, but since he is just starting out and looking at supporting 40,000,000, maybe something with an Enterprise version would be a good thing for him to look at.
If I were from RedHat or Novell and happened to be reading this list, I would be writing him a nice email offering him a free eval copy of the Enterprise version right now!
