Yes, but getting your hands on it isn't easy. It's on web pages on VA's intranet.
VOE should be able to "track" with VistA as long as it's patches are kept up to date. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of James Lane Sent: Monday, September 12, 2005 2:26 PM To: '[email protected]' Subject: RE: [Hardhats-members] Integrating VISTA with other applications Does documentation exist for the outbound hl7 messages? Does VistA-Office have designs for integration? -----Original Message----- From: Cameron Schlehuber [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Monday, September 12, 2005 12:48 PM To: [email protected] Subject: RE: [Hardhats-members] Integrating VISTA with other applications VistA is -currently- very well set up for -sending- HL7 messages for clinical data since the current evolution of VistA is to insure that all clinical and administrative data can be hosted in national clinical and administrative repositories for VHA. Conversely, the display of a patient's aggregate health record through CPRS -will- be done (in test this fall) through a common data service that retrieves the data from the repositories. It would not be much of a stretch to host a "repository" in VistA for smaller enterprises. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of James Lane Sent: Monday, September 12, 2005 12:26 PM To: '[email protected]' Subject: RE: [Hardhats-members] Integrating VISTA with other applications Thanks much. I am not so interested at the moment in IFCAP type data, but with Patient related data. After some research it looks like the HL7 receiver / responder has been implemented via the VistA HL7 package, but that the actual MUMPS code defining messages to be sent / received for various processes has not been written. Sounds like it would be a big job to provide integration with VistA patient data. Any other caveats / problems / concerns re the integration issue I should be aware of? -James ------------------------------------------------------- SF.Net email is Sponsored by the Better Software Conference & EXPO September 19-22, 2005 * San Francisco, CA * Development Lifecycle Practices Agile & Plan-Driven Development * Managing Projects & Teams * Testing & QA Security * Process Improvement & Measurement * http://www.sqe.com/bsce5sf _______________________________________________ Hardhats-members mailing list [email protected] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/hardhats-members ------------------------------------------------------- SF.Net email is Sponsored by the Better Software Conference & EXPO September 19-22, 2005 * San Francisco, CA * Development Lifecycle Practices Agile & Plan-Driven Development * Managing Projects & Teams * Testing & QA Security * Process Improvement & Measurement * http://www.sqe.com/bsce5sf _______________________________________________ Hardhats-members mailing list [email protected] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/hardhats-members ------------------------------------------------------- SF.Net email is Sponsored by the Better Software Conference & EXPO September 19-22, 2005 * San Francisco, CA * Development Lifecycle Practices Agile & Plan-Driven Development * Managing Projects & Teams * Testing & QA Security * Process Improvement & Measurement * http://www.sqe.com/bsce5sf _______________________________________________ Hardhats-members mailing list [email protected] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/hardhats-members
