I would also like to point out that there are other potential solutions that are browser based, and a solution in the pipeline from the VA, but that will probably not be totally cross platform for a number of years, and then you could call Medsphere and see what they will sell you and for how much as I believe they may have something as well.

A broader answer is that CPRS boots up and gets to the login screen under wine on Linux, and parts of it run, but there are known hiccups, and it has been described to me as tantalizingly close to running. So, if the money that people like you plan to spend on licenses for closed source operating systems can be diverted to paying the developers to tweak wine to make all of CPRS run, we may soon have CPRS fully functional on Linux. Is there any interest in setting up a bounty for the changes to wine to make CPRS run? People could pledge money that would be paid to anyone (e.g., CodeWeavers) for the delivery of a version of wine on which CPRS ran. -- Bhaskar P.S. "Non licensed windows OS" is not strictly correct. Open source free software like GNU/Linux and GT.M on x86 GNU/Linux are *licensed* but the license is a free license like the GNU General Public License (GPL) that gives the licensee (user) the right to use the software without paying a fee. Only public domain software such as FOIA VistA is not licensed.
