I think I disagree. One step after the other is how we "go" through life, but before a step is usually taken, don't most of us think about purpose and principles first? We think about our needs and wants and those of others, then prioritize our life and our day, and only then begin the procedures and the execution. (And as we get better at what we do, those steps just come automatically.)
