Actually, the reason CrossOver wouldn't run on your wife's Mac was because it wasn't an Intel-based Mac. Wine requires an x86 architecture chip, and PowerPC didn't qualify. So that's the reason we didn't have the possibility of delivering a Mac product until Apple's recent announcement of moving to Intel chips.
